Qualifiying for Section 8 How do I qualify for rental assistance? HUD has established annual maximum income limits for eligibility in the Section 8 Program. Those limits effective 02/20/03 are based on the number of family members and are as follows: 1 - $17,900; 2 - $20,450; 3 - $23,000; 4 - $25,550; 5 - $27,600; 6 - $29,650; 7 - $31,700; 8 - $33,750 | ||||

Applications How do I apply for Section 8 Rental Assistance? Applications must be made in person on Monday & Tuesday between 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Norman Housing Authority Administrative Building. | ||||

Assistance Availability When will I be issued a voucher? The NHA issues vouchers as assistance becomes available. After you make application and are determined to be eligible, you will be placed on a waiting list that averages 9 months to 1 year. When you get to the top of the list, you will be contacted BY MAIL as to the availability. It is imperative that you keep a current address on file. | ||||
